Default Folder redirection not working for user.

Please Login to Remove!

Hi
Recently removed user from bes, wiped his handset, reactivated and now I cannot get his Outlook sub folders to redirect to the blackberry handset.

When I go to Messages > Options > Email Settings > Folder Redirection

Desktop is grey out, and it is not showing all the sub folders.

On the BES server I have marked all sub folders for redirection, against the user.

I have disabled wireless reconciliation on handset , then reenabled as per some posts, this didn't allow for the folders to display, user folder redirection.

Previously before removing the user completely from BES, the user was able to view all inbox subfolders and able to file emails ok. .

Please help,

Folder redirection won't be pre-populated if that's what you're asking. Only messages that are sent to those folders after they've been selected will show on the device. Anything there before you set up redirection (after re-adding the user to the BES) won't show.

Wow, thanks for your rapid reply

This is a bit crazy, not even showing the empty folders (not worried about historical emails that were stored to them)

So he cannot file anything on his blackberry , until he starts filing emails on his outlook, from this point forward?

What if we filed a blank email to all his subfolders in outlook, would it make them all available on his handset ? Is this a workaround?

cheers

The user doesn't see them from the BlackBerry in the Folder Redirection screen?

If not, go into Options > Advanced Options > Services Books and delete the [Desktop] CMIME service book and then resend it from the BES.

knot true.

Configuring folder redirection on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server before the enterprise activation process is performed will include those folders for prepopulation. For more information on configuring folder redirection, see KB04297.

Thanks for your help
This is what i did.

Removed user from BES
Wiped handset
waited a bit for user to purge gracefully
added the user back to bes, waited a bit (DIDN'T touch any settings)
reactivated user

and the folders where viewable under Folder Redirection, so they can be enabled,.
