Default Clearing a Blackberry Storm ?

Please Login to Remove!

I am preparing to sell my blackberry storm. I have recently cleared the phone by going to: Options>Security Options>Security wipe. It deleted all my contacts, emails, pictures, everything I expected. Then, I realized that I was still getting emails, and facebook messages in the "messages" icon of the blackberry. I can't figure out why, and I am phone illiterate, ha.
I THOUGHT that by taking out the sim card, I would prevent it from happening, but I was wrong because I still continued to get facebook messages.
How do I keep this from happening? I don't want the next owner of this phone to get my messages, or emails.....obviously.

Not sure but it sounds as if when you did the security wipe you didnt check the box for wiping all user installed third party apps. I would give it another try.

You may also make sure to call the carrier and have them remove the device from your account.

Did you setup your email accounts through BIS? If you did, log into your carrier's email setup portal and switch the PIN that's recorded there to your new blackberry. That should stop the messages being pushed to your old phone.
