Hi all, its been a while since my last BB8100.

I just picked up a ATT branded 8900 for used on my Tmobile account. I just got it unlocked and the phone and text portion works.

I have unlimited text but no data or BB plan.

What I need help is
1) how do I remove all the ATT branding in the phone ie Browser would say ATT World Phone
2) cannot figure out how to surf via wifi as it keeps asking for data connection, I just want to use my home wifi and have connected to it but still don't work
3) I've downloaded the newest v5.0 release, deleted the vendor.xml and ran loader.exe but it still shows v4.6. What the heck is going on?
4) I thought we can mms videos but no choice in the video mode to send via mms?

1) some of it cant be removed (easily, legally..etc). Service books will help with some of the branding.

2) browser, options, set default browser to hotspot browser

3) you need a data plan to upgrade or a complete device wipe.

So reading above, I would just need to enable BB service for a day or so, then I can download the new V5? Would that alone wipe out all the logos?

Also, the browser hot spot setting is not working. When I go to the browser, it still comes up and say I need to turn on network (meaning data network). Could this be because the brower is coming up with the AT&T logo and I need to use another browser? On the phone, it shows I'm connected to the my wireless as it show the SSID of the router.

For data, you need to make sure there is no BIS with the device pin associated with it on att. Then, you can try to register it with the tmobile BIS, but no guarantees there.
