If I buy a Treo 650 now (I lost my phone, need a new one) - will I be able to hook in blackberry service when blackberry connect goes live?

ex ipaq user. find the trackwheel EXTREMELY intuitive once you get used to it. Don't miss the stylus at all!

Yeah i guess the stylus would be kind of a drag but just a mere inconvenience that wouldnt out weigh the benefits. Does the Treo have a stylus or is it a trac wheel?

But on a serious note. I saw that they're using Versamail. I had a 650, tried Versamail and it totally screwed up my Outlook. Took hours to fix everything. I switched to Snappermail and that's an excellent program for the Treo.

Wirelessly posted (your electric?: BlackBerry7100i/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/103 UP.Browser/5.0.3.3 UP.Link/5.1.2.16)

tregrad - you say the Treo owns over the bb, but you don't know if it uses a trackwheel or a stylus. Do you know what a Treo looks like!? Also you say the features are better, but you said if it had the features of a bb it would own? Man I am confused here. pink

" BB is a good tool but cant do half what a palm can do, if they make a palm with all the same abilities of a BB along with RIM and their features." also this doesn't make much sense man (RIM makes the bb). pink

Stylus. But it has some intuitive non-stylus functions as well. My preference against the stylus entirely isa personal one. The treo definitely has its plusses- just not for my purposes.

I really think you need to actually READ the post instead of getting all Butt hurt over my preferences. I said.....now read carefully, I will go slow for you.........I would WAY rather have a "palm" with the "capabilities" of a "Nextel" over a BB ANY DAY. I cant put my excell sperad sheet that i use for estimating on a BB without spending money on a office program for it and even then it is harder "from what I UNDERSTAND" to work the spread sheet with a BB rather than a palm. Palm is more windows friendly "from what I UNDERSTAND" and yes i have used a few of them.
I hope I went slow enough for you and you were able to read what I typed and meant.

sound like Ted "Chapaquidick" Kennedy putting words in everyones mouth.
Anyway I just think a plam would be better in my case, no hard feelings.

I love my BB. We have implemented a number of them across our business unit. One of the things we are running into is now that our users have gotten a taste of a multi use device, they want to explore more. The new 700W and Treo 650 have built in MP3, voice recording, and cameras. I would love it if Nextel offered something like this with BB connect because of the direct connect (which our group uses heavily) and because our company has the BES investment. Oh well......maybe in the future.
