Thumbs down Browser F**ked

Had a few users wirelessly upgrade to this pos os.

Now when they surf the web in the browser, they click on links.. and it doesn't register half the time. try abcnews.com.. click on a few links, after a minute you will see all the links do not respond although the hand displays as the cursor.

Anyone else notice this? i wiped and tried it before enterprise activation, etc.

Known issue.

The fact that Verizon not only released this version but is pushing it to everyone is aggravating. Not only are the tech savvy people irritated but there are hundreds of non tech-savvy people doing this upgrade.

If I hear one more "where's my lock icon" complaint, Ima gonna scream!

It's even more fun at the RIM forums.

as that topic states, it does no good to yell at RIM, people need to be yelling at verizon. They are the ones who released the OS and are the ones who can work with RIM to release a later version with the issues fixed.

I don't think he's screwing with me...besides... I don't care.

That thread over there is about to make me go mental. People want RIM's head on a platter for this whole lock feature change. It just amazes me.

What I do take issue with is that this update is being PUSHED to everyone and people that wouldn't normally update and who don't have the knowledge to update are getting this update and come back with complaints like the Memo Pad disappeared, my emails are gone, and all kinds of "OS loading 101" problems in addition to the bug complaints of .591 like the browser issue, etc. Add on top of that the the Lock/password changes and people are understandably irritated.

Agree John. I updated (manually) and have had no problems so far -- keeping my fingers crossed. However, my Mom's BB tried to update this morning and she couldn't make it go away. Luckily I was home so was able to get out of the update but it took me several minutes because the phone was trying to force me to update and was locking up. I guess I'm going to have to manually update her phone to keep the OTA update from being forced later. And she is quite happy with 4.7.
