You do not have a blackberry data plan on your account, or you do and the service books have not been pushed to the device. That is why you are seeing only option you see, which is for setting up on an enterprise server (aka BES).
You'll need to provide more info on your problems installing applicatuions. And yes you can upgrade the OS, assuming there is a newer OS available for your device. But your lack of a blackberry data plan is your biggest issue right now.

I repeat, you must have special BLACKBERRY DATA SERVICE added to your mobile account. When you do, you will be able to do what you observe demonstrated in the video. You buy the blackberry data service from the same business providing the cell phone service, if they support blackberrys.

I agree with the above, you must have a BB data plan on your account and the device must be properly activated with your carrier.
The person in the video obviously has a BB data plan. Do you believe everything you see on Youtube?

Yes, that "other option" only appears once you have a BLACKBERRY DATA PLAN.

Yes. You will ONLY see that other option once you have activated the blackberry data plan on your account.
1 - see Methods of Receiving Email on BlackBerry - BlackBerryFAQ and look over the other articles at BlackBerry FAQ - BlackBerryFAQ.
2 - Contact the company you are using for cell phone service and ask them about blackberry data service.

Problems with Email Setup on BB Bold 9000
Dear Ira,
Refer to your reply, I would like to ask you if you can help me to solve issue? I have the same problem with e-mail setup on my BB Bold 9000.
My local network provider has no BlackBerry Data Plan, so they are unable to help me. But if you will help me, I will guarantee you bonus ($) as have been trying long to setup my gmail account.
Thank you

Nariman, there is nothing that can be done as far as blackberry data service if your service provider does not support it.
If your service provider supports generic mobile data, ther may be some things you can do, though not blackberry data. I don't know what is possible with google's services on a generic data plan. I advise searching the forum on that score. And see blackberryfaq.com on the topic of using a generic data plan.
Good luck.

See blackberryfaq.com. Look at the article titled something like may email stopped arriving.
Long story short, try resending your service books. (Also discussed at FAQ.)
