Question Hi, new here! Looking for suggestions for Weather App

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone!

I know you're probably sick of people just coming in for suggestions, but i'd love some help. Maybe it'll help others with this issue as well.

I have a BB Curve 8330. I have BerryWeather installed. For a while, it was slow but functional, and i enjoyed the ability to watch weather updates for my current zip code, hometown zip code, and even my GPS location. I like that it keeps a nice handy icon of your active location's weather condition.

However, the last two or three updates have rendered it buggy, crashy, and generally useless. The GPS location does not work anymore at all, and i even re-bought it (thanks to the combined update and my account having "lost" it) and reinstalled it to see if that would help. What a WASTE of money. I am very displeased, and i am sick of waiting for them to release a working version.

Everything out there seems either useless or very expensive. I don't want to pay $15+ just to try something that's not worth a dime. I wish there were more useful app stores to see reviews and download straight to the BB.

So, do you all have ideas of a good weather app that is reasonably priced and won't leave me feeling like i wasted more money?

Preferences:
Icon update for quick glance
Multiple views - day, weekly, hourly, etc.
Reasonable resource use - please don't choke my BB
Easy location settings, multiple and additional GPS would be extra-nice
Customizable severe weather alerts (i don't need to know about rough surf, but severe storm warnings would be helpful)

Your phone is a bit old. Take a look at BBWeather. If you search you will find it on the site

Thanks for the suggestion! I will try it. I looked it up, and the reviews seem to be pretty good.

EDIT:

I can't find a place to download a working version, and it doesn't show up in the search on this site as an app (except for mentions on the forums). The first result on Google brings up a page that leads to a zipped file. The next different one brings up an old file that i can't get to work.

I think i'll see what Handy Weather and Ace Weather are like.

Try Weather Bug. It's available on the BB App Store and it's FREE. You get an icon that changes depending on your local weather, gives you weather alerts and works great with your existing data connection.

Wirelessly posted

Welcome to the group!

My advice is try the free weather apps in blackberry app world. If you don't like one, delete it and try another.

WeatherEye will show updates. The Weather Channel has a lot of features, but app icon doesn't display conditions; it's just an app icon. The push apps from http://mobile.blackberry.com are ok. It really depends on what you find useful and appealing.
