Just writing to confirm that Rogers is the same 3G frequency as AT&T and the version of the 9700 that Bell & Telus sells is also compatible with AT&T's 3G network. I've heard that Rogers 9700 is easier to unlock than the version that is sold by Bell or Telus.
On a somewhat similar note, the only Canadian carrier that offers a Bold 9700 that isn't compatible with AT&T's 3G network is Wind... Wind's Bold 9700 is compatible with T-Mobile's 3G network.
All versions of the 9700 will work with AT&T's GSM/GPRS/EDGE network... just not their 3G network.
