High availability: How do I change the IP address of an Standby server
Please Login to Remove!
I set up an standby server for bes 5.0.1 MR2
everything ran smooth.
After a while however I had to change the IP address of the standby server.
After that the Service MDS-IS of the Primary server failed.
and some logs sem to prove that during startup the service tries to contact the old IP address.
I checked DNS entries were correctly changed.
MDS-IS Log looks like that:
...

where 123.124.125.11 was the first address of the standby server. ( well I changed the address in this document of course)
when I put back the standby server to the original IP address everything ran fine again.
So the adresses of the "cluster" members are hardcoded somewhere.
How can I execute a change of IP adresses correctly ?
