Default Problems with Facebook App - please help

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

About 3 or 4 days ago now i've noticed a problem with my Facebook App on my Storm (OS 5.0.0.451). When i go to check messages & alerts the Facebook freezes, it won't let me return to the main home screen & displays the timer clock frequently in the middle of the screen. Eventually after several mins it will unfreeze & return to the home page & start recieving messages again.

I've tried reinstalling the Facebook App, doing a battery pull, rebooting the system & still the problem persists. Any ideas why this is happening? It's doing it now!!! Arrrgh!!!!! Please help Vodafone are useless.

As a suggestion, consider using snaptu for Facebook. Snaptu - a world of free apps on any phone Also the Blackberry Beta Zone is allowing select users to use Facebook 1.8. This may not solve the problem but there are other options.

akosnitzsky has a good idea there.

Maybe too, if you have additional 3rd party apps installed, see if one of them may be the culprit. Also see how many apps are running in the background; Viigo use to cause this issue for some reason on my Storm and so I turn off auto updating and to close on exit and things cleared up. Mine might have been a device issue, but worth a shot!
