I bought an brand new unlocked Pearl off of ebay for my girlfriends birthday but when I got it there were a few issues.

1) If you were to make a call from your contacts it would add digits to the beginning of the number and not go through.
2) When she called at&t they asked if "edge" was lowercase or capital and it is lowercase meaning that it has some kind of network problem? What exactly does this mean anyone?!?
3) Couldn't download app world and couldn't log into facebook
4) Browser would work on and off
5) at&t also said that she was missing the native browser
6) Lastly, it wasn't connecting to her laptop.

I think that covers all of the issues she told me she had...

I sent it back and they have a new one on the way to me, hopefully it works. But I'm just looking for some answers just in case this new one pulls the same crap.

Issues 2 thru 5 are probably related to not having a Blackberry data plan on her account.

a BB data plan is a bit different than regular smart phone plan. But if you're sure she has the right one then disregard my previous post.
