Question Unable to install Opera Mini 5.1

Please Login to Remove!

When I download it from the Opera site, it says it installed, but when I try to run it....it gives me another installing progress bar that reaches half way through then says "Unable to connect to the Internet, check your settings" although I have a BB internet connection that's always on... I tried the remove battery trick but that didn't help....any tips to install it?

Go to Options/Applications and hover over Opera Mini and press the menu key. Click on edit positions and set all to allow, and save. Then run Opera.

Default try logging in using wifi first

On your Blackberry, if after you install Opera Mini 5.1 and try to open it and get "Installing..." and then "Unable to connect...":

Try opening Opera Mini 5.1 when you are connected via wifi first. It should work for you then. Once open, you can turn off wifi, and then go into "Settings" > "Advanced" > "Network Test..."

When you load a page, it should complete the Network Test and see that you're no longer on wifi. From then, you should be able to connect fine using the mobile network.

I suspect Opera Mini remembers the last connection method you were using before you re-installed the latest version and therefore only attempts that connection method, rather than running a proper connection network test.

This worked for me.
