Hi,I am a new user and I am wondering if it is possible to create a password prompt when accessing my inbox? At the moment when I go into my inbox all my messages are available,however I would like to create a password to enter in order to get into my inbox,is this possible?

Not possible natively.

Welcome to the forums.

You can create a password to protect the entire phone (which many, many people recommend in case it's lost or stolen), or you can find a 3rd party application that can password protect specific applications.

I think there is a 3rd party app that will do that, I just can't remember off the top of my head what it is. Might try searching the Aftermarket Software forum here.
