Default 7520 Upgrade or not?

Please Login to Remove!

Brand spanken new RIM Blackberry 7520. I use Ramble for AIM. No BES.
I'm currently running on the v4.0.0.249 (Platform 1.4.0.40).
I read on other threads and some people say that it slows down their BB and DAWG says he has no problems.

Do I need to upgrade?

Sorry...but your post isn't clear: What exactly have you heard slows down your device? The OS version, or Ramble?

Well I haven't ran that exact build, but I've had 3.8.(something something) and currently run 4.02.49 (Platform 1.8.0.142) - I haven't noticed a speed difference in the two.

Would I upgrade? Yeah... just becuase I like using the new stuff. Is it needed? No, are you going to notice a drastic speed difference? Nope. It's the hardware itself limiting it; it's not like any of the systems were known to have huge memory leaks or software loops. - The Blackberrys simply don't come with real quick CPU's.

Well said, I am using an older version as well because the new one won't allow me too recieve my service books and it is just as fast.
