(forgive me if this is not the correct forum for this)
Hey folks. Thought I'd swing in here to look around.
I'll be getting a BBT sent to me courtesy of AT&T and their "misrepresentation" of the 8520 that I had for a whole 4 days.

This is my first experience with the BB phones, so I'm hear to learn more about the Torch, it's features and perhaps some useful or fun apps.

Hi Jake welcome to the forums. I have a 9800 torch just got it last week and may I suggest that you should use the search feature that they have up top that's a good place to start. Secondly before I got mine I went to the at&t store to test it out in person I highly recommend that you do the same to get a feel for it. Each persons experience will be different. As I had a Iphone for years and used the storm 2 as well. I like touch screens so I'm very happy with the improvements that Rim and at&t made with this phone. It does what I need it to do. I hope you do too good luck remember this is a first generation torch and I believe it can only get better with time so if your into high speeds and big processors it is'nt bad but remember the critics are just that critics listen to your own opinion.

Thanks for the advice. My last phone was an LG Vu, so I'm sure that the Torch is going to be more "phone" than I'll ever need. I'm just excited to be getting a phone that isn't 4 years behind the times. It's hard to take a critics advice seriously. Most of them are so picky, that they'll get hung up on an issue that 90% of the population will never even notice.

I'll be scrounging this forum for more info on Blackberry devices and the Torch itself. I'm sure I'll need a full day or so just to get the feel for basic usage... like making a call!

Welcome to BBF. Might check the New Members section, but please don't repost. Check the 8500 section and read the FAQ to get you started.
