Default Blackberry deleting emails

Please Login to Remove!

Howdy:

I've got an 8900 with 3 inboxes on it. I have one for yahoo, gmail and then the other is a webmail address via Horde.

Yahoo and gmail are great. I'm noticing that the Horde inbox is deleting the emails that I received a day after I have received them. It keeps all of the emails that I have sent from that address.

How do I change that? I usually have my Outlook open on my computer at all times. Could this be affecting something? I seriously doubt it.

I'm looking for options on the phone, but cannot find anything that will fix this.

I'm not familair at all with Horde, but here's my thoughts:

If you have your BIS settings for that account set to sync with the account inbox, and you are removing those messages from the service, then perhaps BIS is removing the emails from the handset when they are removed from the server. I don't know if this is even possible, but you should have no trouble running an experiment.

Is it really within a day? The email folder options can be set to remove messages after a certain period of time, down to 15 days. If you are really losing messages only after a day, then that wouldn't be it.

Last thought is memory. The device will delete some data, such as messages, when memory is allowed to get too low. I don't think you would see that on just one account and not others, but I don't really know. Check you free memory value.

If horde works like any other outlook mail that you have configured, and it is BES, you might want to check if you are deleting them on your outlook mailbox. Normally, BB scans the deleted items and the update from your Outlook to BB will take around 20 mins.
