Default BES Express Cal costs & Kerio Mail Server

Please Login to Remove!

Its been a while since Ive checked out BES. We have 1 which I installed years ago ( Professional edition) & I havent looked much at it since.

Recently Kerio ( another mail server besides Exchange we use) announced they support BES & have a BES connector. This is my first post so I cant post relevant links

I havent installed one with Kerio before, so would appreciate if someone has a procedure besides the kerio one?

Also, one of my techs mentioned to me that instead of professional edition, there is now Express edition & there is no Cal costs. Is this right?

Last time I set up pro edition, there was one free Cal & you had to purchase additional Cals in a minimum 5 block bundle (around $200?) . Now, going by what we can see, express has 75 free Cals?!

Can someone verify this for me?

BES Express 5 is free, with free cals.
I have no idea if it works with Kerio.

Ok, wow, so when did this happen BES stopped charging for Cals?

So I can have 75 free cals on Bes Express 5? Why the change? Market share loss?

BES Express 5 was made available earlier this year.
It's not limited to 75 cals. You can have as many cals as you want.

BES Express is a scaled down version of BES. Limited number of IT Policies and missing some integration modules such as collaboration services and MVS.
