Hi! I updated my BB 9700 with leaked OS6. Everything is working fine except the camera. Whenever I wanted to open it, I got msg "couldn't open camera. Close some application and try again"
I pulled out its bettry but still msg is same. And m not utilizing much memory like I don't have vedios, pics etc so I could get an idea may b its because of memory problem. So is there any solution?

If I were you, I would go back to the original OS 5 that came with the device. Since you are using a leaked OS, you probably can't get much help.

That is one problem with jumping the gun, so to speak.

What version of OS 6 did you install?

That's strange, because I'm using the same leaked OS6 and my camera works fine.

ive seen that issue on a blackberry here at work, couldn't solve it even after wiping.

had to use warranty through the carrier

I also found that using camera drain the battery so fast...
So I'm back to OS5 now

U must install that later version shich is 6.0.0.358

Download the Operating System from the below link:


9700M_PBr6.0.0_rel1308_PL6.6.0.63_A6.0.0.358.exe - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download

Make sure you create a backup before you perform the below!


Instructions For Installation:


1) Install the *.exe file you just downloaded.

2) Navigate to Computer >>> C: >>> Program Files >>> Common Files >>> Research in Motion >>> Apploader

3) Delete the file named vendor.xml

4) Connect your BlackBerry through the USB port

5) Run loader.exe

6) Follow the on-screen instructions and enjoy.

Now I am back to OS 5.0.0.1014. But still I am getting the same message while opening the camera. What's wrong?

Wowww... Thanx a lot. It really helped me and my matter is solved.
I re installed my OS, pulled out battery, deleted third party apps, did everything but problem was there. What makes my camera to work is only pressing it.
It seems to be common issue in blackberry as I read many users comments on camera problem on internet. And its not a software problem, its hardware problem. Can be solved only by fixing camera (by pressing it)...

Although, it needs to be clarified that this problem may not always be the same. Could be hardware or software.
