hello. hoping someone could solve my problem. my blackberry curve 8900 is freeze.. it turns on, loading, and stays on the main screen.. when the lights are out i try to press any keys and the lights are back again. but when i press the menu button.. its stagnant doesnt display menu. sometimes the battery doesnt charge though i keep charging it. i went to a phone shop to have it repaired and the fee was 70 pounds(am in uk) and that is a lot of money so i decided not to push thru. any help from you guys would be appreciated..please please please thanks

With the device on, pull the battery for about 30 seconds, then replace and let the device reboot.

What did you do just before this happened?

Did you drop it or get it wet?

ive tried it several times. the reboot thingy but still doesnt work stuck on the main screen. i know ive dropped it before but the time it starts to stuck i dont think i dropped it or something. someone from the shop told me the keys and trackball will just be replaced but i dont think so. cause i think theyre working cause when lights are off and i press some keys itll turn on again.

A battery pull with the device on, doesn't reboot the device? Did you install an app or new theme?

You could also wipe the device using Jl_cmdr and reload the OS. Does DM recognize it when connected?

a battery pull with the device on reboots it.. but still is stuck on the main screen. i had install a new theme but that was few days before the problem appeared. its a free christmas theme.

DM = Desktop Manager, the app that manages BB devices.

Basically, if you install and run Desktop Manager, and connect your BB... Does DM "recognise" that the device is attached?

unfortunately my DM cant recognize my device.. i cant even press the yes option for mass storage device on my phone thats why.
