After a recent software update released by BB, my Curve2 no longer goes to the clock when it's plugged in to charge. It's not a huge deal, but I've checked the settings with the clock and they're set to "display clock when charging". Any suggestions? Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile
So settings are correct?.....Clock options are set to enter bedside mode or display clock when charging?
Do you see the clock at all, even for a flash? I've noticed sometimes when plugging into USB on one of my computers my device will switch to clock for only a second and then back to normal mode. (Don't know why. Haven't bothered to figure it out.) Posted via BlackBerryForums.com Mobile
I am having the same issue. I triple checked the settings and it still will not activate the phone. This occurred two updates ago, I was hoping the second update would fix it but it did not.
Did some more experimenting and found that the clock does activate when being charged via usb, such as from a computer.
Settings got messed up somewhere. Thanks BB
I recently got a Tour with the 4.7 OS and the clock worked fine. I upgraded to 5.0 via OTA and there were three incremantal upgrades. Two of the upgrades did not display the clock when charging using an AC adapter, but the final upgrade is now displaying the clock when charging. Searching the Internet I did see some mention by others stating the missing clock was an OS bug.
Looks like the final upgrade in my case got it working as it originally did.
Not sure if the 8530 may have a similar OS bug, but I figured I would mention it.......
