I searched this forum to find how to format media card and it says
to format go to Options > Advanced Options > Memory Card. Press the scroll wheel and select Format Card.

When I do this ^ the only option I have is CLOSE on my scroll.
Any idea how I can get the format option to come up thanks

BTW, I 1st tried on windows disk fix on my pc (right mouse click on BB drive> propertied fix disk but no go....says can not do

Everything went FUBAR after I used windows to defrag BB..bad move LOL

Why would attempt to defrag your BB?

Anyway, you need to take the card out and into a card reader to format on a PC.

Well you appear to have screwed up the phone a bit, so the best way to format your media card is to do it via a PC, but this can only be done by taking it out of the device. You cannot format a card on the PC via the connected blackberry.

Wonder if running a de-frag on a blackberry will cause OS issues. The PC thinks the BB is a storage drive and might make the attempt. this is one test I'm not willing to try.

Got going again w/ win check disk for errors...everything restored...I happy camper :>)

Are you using PC tools to fix your blackberry?

media card has been inserted that contains errors. to correct the errors please use a disk error checking utility on a computer bb8330
