My wife got a new blackberry 8530 phone and now the blackberry app world on a pc does not recognise the phone when you sign in to download apps. the app world says the app is not supported on this device. apps can be downloaded through the phone fine.

Not all Apps work on all models so you need to check to see if the App your attempting to use or download is for the type BB.
