Hi there my daughters blackberry stopped working and is stuck on the white screen with the clock going round and round and round. I have followed all insturctions to fix this i.e wiped the phone and attempted to download a new os server. I cannot not find this server on my comp it spose to show up as desktop manager and I am assuming this in the PC not on the phone coz as i've mentioned the phone won't go anywhere. Why can't I find desktop manager? Can anyone provide me a link that will download properly and do what it spose to do and not redirect me to porn!

Welcome to the forums.

Your profile says you have a curve, but you need to be more specific, do you have an 8300, 8310,8320,8330,8530,9330, etc?

The 8320 OS will only work with the 8320 and so on. You need to make sure you download the appropriate OS for your device.

Once you download the correct OS (if you haven't), then follow these steps to the letter.

To add to what jsconyers advised above, open device options, then select About to find the BlackBerry model number. Then find the "latest OS" thread here on the forum in the section for your BlackBerry series.

Alternately, you can allow desktop manager to automatically install the latest OS version distributed by your carrier.

Get desktop manager from blackberry.com. What you will download is the installer file. You need to execute the file to install the application.

Then, (1) use JL-CMDER to wipe the BlackBerry handset, and (2) install the OS using either the directions in the latest OS thread for your model, or let desktop manager install the latest OS released by your carrier.
