Default activate autocorrect on bb 9700 os 6.0.0.488

Please Login to Remove!

Just updated my bb bold 9700 to os 6.0.0.488.

Can anyone tell me how do I activate the autocorrect function in this os? Is there such thing? Was an iPhone user previously and am very much used to this feature already.

Typos are quite inevitable for me as a new bb user. Tried my friend's bb storm, os 5. The autocorrect is exactly what I want. Typo like 'pyll' are changed to 'pull' immediately after hitting space without me having to add/edit the word substitution.

Typos are really hard to avoid so it would be a big hurdle to add all the things I have to.

Is this feature available in this os

Can anyone help?

most common typos will already be autocorrected.

the rest you won't rally need now that you have a real keyboard.

to view all macros and word substitutions, options > Typing and Input > Word Substitution

Ummmmm no, that path doesn't exist on 6.0 on a 97XX.

It's Options > Word Substitution

Also, you can use the predictive text function by - Options > Typing > and change "Style" to "Predictive", then set your preferences from there. That will assist as well...but also has its drawbacks.

I believe the OP posted "488" which is causing the confusion. 488 is NOT out.

Oops. I missed that and read 2 4's not 2 8's.

Hi, I am using 9700 Bold recently I downloaded o s 6.0. it works very cool but only problem is the blackberry service gets disconnected every now and then. I have to disconnect the mobil network and put it connect back again then it starts back. I don't know if its the problem of the service provider or the operating system because I saw same problem in 9800Torch have it too.
If anyone can help me
