Hi!

I was prompted that an update is available for my handset.
My device software version right now is 5.0.0.846 and the update software version is 6.0.0.448. Is this the BlackBerry OS6?

And while i am updating the software, the back up has completed but installation says "Downloaded modules 44 of 603" and it has been like this for more than an hour. Is this normal or should I start all over again?

I you left it alone, then continue to leave it until it is done. Do not disconnect it.

Next time, what MidnightDraven advises would be better (dowload the OS and install it using computer).

Yes it will be better and faster if you download the OS in your computer and then once it is in your computer, install it and then open your BB desktop software manager then click update. then let it install into your BB phone and wella.....it will reboot and you will have the new OS in your blackberry. I did this using my Torch
