First step almost always when confronted with something weird like that is a hard reset. With the power off, remove the battery for at least 30 seconds. Then try again. But before that, I must ask, do you have a BlackBerry data plan (specific BlackBerry data service) on your account, and is it active on the device now?

I would also go to the App Store and see if there is a newer version of facebook. Good luck.

It sounds like you have the LED Coverage Indicator enabled - it flashes green when you are in an area where you have cellular service - I would disable it by going to the home screen - clicking on the top - then click on Options -> Display -> Screen Display - then scroll down and uncheck the "LED Coverage Indicator" option.

I use Facebook a little bit to keep in touch with my kids in Pittsburgh. But I have never used the "app" but instead, just go to "Facebook.com" in my browser. I have it saved as a Favorite so navagating to it seems easy and maybe I don't even know what options I'm missing but it seems like I can read and post what I want. I just figured one less app means more room and memory.
