I am setting up a Torch for a user and have run enterprise activation which was successful. We're using BES 5. This also created an icon for his gmail account. I'm trying to remove this account since we only want his corporate email account on the device.

Here's what I've done:

1. Go to setup, Email Accounts
2. Internet Mail Account
3. Updated the app when prompted and rebooted
4. Back to Internet Mail Account
5. It says "A new Blackberry device has been detected. Do you wish to use this device for your email?" - 'Move' is the only option other than exiting, so I selected Move
6. Says "Device change failed"

Any ideas? Thanks

On my device I have a service book for my BIS email accounts. I believe if you delete the applicable CMIME ( not desktop, if it exisits) service book but the one that refers to the internet email account it will get rid of the icon.

How did BES activation create an icon for the gmail account? Did you specify their gmail email address anywhere?

No, it must have already been set up for them (it was a replacement BB). The icon and email account appeared after activation automatically.
