Default Get pictures from device with mass storage policy disabled

Please Login to Remove!

We have a user who just upgraded their phone to a new phone. We currently have set the IT policy to Disable USB Mass Storage to Yes so we cannot access the phone via USB to download pictures. The user has already activated their new phone with the server so I cannot change the IT policy for the old device via BES. The phone did not have a SD card in it so the photos are stored on the device. Is there a way to manually change the IT policy without the phone being BES Activated? Or would we have to re-activate the user on the old phone, then modify the IT policy to enable USB mass storage, push a modified IT Policy out and then re-activate the user on their new phone?

We are trying to avoid having to move the 50 or 60 pictures that are on the device over to an SD card one by one.

Any suggestions?

You cannot change the IT policy on a non-activated Blackberry. This would obviously be a security issue. The only thing you can do is to factory reset the phone, which will clear the policy.

You can re-activate the phone on the *same* server and then push a different policy to it. Or you can transfer everything to a Micro SD card. Or you can send everything to another device via Bluetooth.
