Default How to use Blackberry solely as PDA (without wireless)

Please Login to Remove!

I've been search the web and forums looking for how-tos or discussions on using my Blackberry without a wireless account. I've cancelled by Cingular account and my account was under AT&T, so now it is NOT able to be transferred to another service... yada yada yada. Anyway, I'd like to use it without it being wirelessly connected anyway. I would like to compose and send email on the Blackberry by just sending it via Outlook when connect it via USB..
I'm just looking for info on third party software or configurations that will allow me to use my Blackberry like I do my HP handheld... as a PDA more than a "wireless email" device only...

Not sure about programs, but as someone who loves the 8700, I think the PDA function is it's weakest element. If that's all you want, why not just get a Palm Zaire?

Default Heres an idea

Get it unlocked. Sign up with T mobile. They have cheap plans. Use Yaho since you get complete email reconciliation. Would that be too costly for you?

I think we're still getting away from what I originally asked... why so set on my getting a monthly fee when I would just prefer to type an email on my Blackberry and then plug 'er up and send? I'm fine with that... I'm weaned off my Crackberry... now I want a good ole PDA...

The BB is useless without a data plan. If data goes one-way, you will be billed for the other. Sorry man, sell the thing on ebay or SA

I think what you mean is storing the e-mail off and sending it when you connect the BB to a computer right?

I don't believe there is any supported function like this on the BB. Your best bet is to pick up an inexpensive Palm OS based device and use it.
