Hi,
I guess it's time to upgrade our BES 4 server to version 5. For that I intend to build a new server from scratch, create a new database and use the Blackberry Enterprise Transporter to migrate users. That scenario is covered in the RIM upgrade guide. The only catch is that I only have one SRP. That case is not covered in the guide

. I have already started the job using that scenario. I now have my new server on 5.0.3 and have made sure during the install/upgrade that the services never started. The next step would be to move the users using the BET. I could do that, stop the services on the old BES, start the services on the new BES and off we are. BUT, existing policies cannot be migrated by any tool (right?) and that's a prerequisite before having the users go online on the new BES. In order for me to create the new policies I guess the services should be running. I also guess I can do that as long as the SRP connection can not be established (I would enfore that through firewall policies)? Is that a correct assumption? I know it's tricky but in theory it should work. Has anyone migrated like this before?
