Default Making or getting a calendar event app

Please Login to Remove!

I want to make (or get made) an app that would take, say 50 events in a year (new app every year) and install them into the native blackberry calendar. Just like there are apps that install holidays into the calendar.

Thanks!

Michael

Yes. How does one do what I'm asking for?

I guess you'll have to write a java program.

Are you a java developer? You'll need to download the Java development tools to start off with.

There are several "sticky" threads at the top of the forum that might be useful.

I'll need to look into it. I'm not a JAVA developer and I was hoping it was such a simple program it would be a boiler plate type of thing. There are so many apps that are this calendar or that calendar that I thought it would be easy to make this happen.
If not I may have to become a JAVA developer.

Frankly, I wouldn't bother at this late stage of the game.

RIM is moving to a different OS in the new phones (QNX), and there is no backward-compatibility planned for the Java applications. Your applicaiton will have a very short shelf life.
