Default Just downloaded OS 4.1-quick question...

Please Login to Remove!

For those of you that downloaded this already,on your SMS settings-did you use GPRS or GSM for your Network To Send Over setting. Does it make any difference.

it should automatically set to your Service Book Settings, but if not... go with GPRS.

if you have issues with that... go with GSM.


(typically, GPRS is the better way to go, with the "always-on" connection.)

It used to be if you had set GPRS instead of GSM, T-Mobile wouldn't charge you for the SMS, but they changed that now they charge you either way.

well I have the plan with Tmob that includes everything-so it shouldn't matter-right?!

that's right.


SMS requires only the tiniest bit of network to transmit, so it's rare that GSM voice congestion will ever shut it out completely. however, the GPRS overlay is nearly constant, and sometimes even when there's no voice capability, data transmissions will still occur!

it's magic, really.
