Whether the timing of the news is coincidental or not to come just as Apple announced its third-generation flagship tablet, Research in Motion has also made an announcement for an accessory for its BlackBerry PlayBook tablet. The accessory comes in the form of a folio-style case that could hold the PlayBook tablet on one side and a keyboard with a trackpad on the other side to create an instant mobile work station.
The case will not add additional USB or media ports, and will not extend the battery life of the tablet with its own built-in battery.
Just picked one up at The Source. So far I like it. The keys have a metal feel to them, would have liked more of a rubber feel myself, these ones feel a little slippery. Touch pad mouse pointer is nice. Protective case is attractive.
Got mine yesterday and love it. Makes a great addition to a superb tablet and the touch pad is a great addition. $99. at the Source in Canada. Get 'em while they're hot!!
POSTED FROM MY BLACKBERRY PLAYBOOK - NOT JUST ANOTHER I-TOY
Most of the Source stores (downtown) are already sold out. A few friends were looking and had to go North of the city. I guess people want to pick them up before they go to 120.00
