Default Stolen BB 9860 Torch

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys!
I am new here... And I have found this forum during some research...
In first I am sorry for my English and thank you so much for this community It seems nice and well connected with a lot of you.

Unfortunatly I found this site when I have lost or someone stolen my BB!
With all my life inside... I have an (unfortunatly) old backup anyway but not of the data on the external memory card...
So i would like to ask you for some informations. In first I know and I can say you that the phone was switched-off when I lost it and that I had 2 password configured on it: the PIN (on the SimCard) and the Device Password of BB.

So, my other doubts and questions are:
1- Can I be sure that anyone cannot read my data inside my BB ?!
2- If someone mistakes the password for 10 times consecutive the BB will WYPE-OUT, is this correct?
3- When the device will WYPE-OUT the data in the memory card still exist?! :-\
4- When WYPE-OUT they can use it as a new phone?! So in this case I should block the IMEI phone code?
5- Can I block the IMEI phone code abroad too?
6- I had the Blackberry Protect actived on it, but I still cannot see nothing online. Could the WYPE-OUT disconnect the device from my monitoring?! Could someone avoid this?!
7- If I'll configure another BB device with a restored backup and the same BB-ID account... Will this override/overwrite the existing one? So I will not be more able to monitoring the old (lost) one?
8- If someone is using it abroad or in this country with an internet connection (BIS) can I see it through my BlackBerry Protect account? (I saw that the PIN is on the webpage)
9- Someone can be able to crack or to change the IMEI device or the PIN device?!

Thank you really so much for all your precious answers!
Stefano
-hope to found it soon!-

1. No, but with both password and SIM PIN set, you can be pretty sure
2. Yes
3. Yes, it will exist, but if you encrypted your memory card it will be unreadable
4. Yes
5. No
6. Yes, once wiped BlackBerry Protect is unusable
7. No, it should not
8. No, as they will have to use their BlackBerry ID
9. No

I will block the IMEI than... Hope really that someone can refound it to me in some way through a police station...
I am worried for my data on the external storage than... UFF!!!
It is strange that i cannot block/avoid the usage of a mobile device abroad if i have the IMEI code... why i cannot do it?

You can't adequately block it because not all countries share their IMEI database. Most of the EU does, but, for example, if the person went to the USA, it would work fine as the USA does not have a central IMEI database, it is by carrier only.

Emm... Maybe another dumb question...
Is the BlackBerry PIN unique in all the world for each device?!
So.. If I still have the PIN of my stolen BlackBerry... Can I try to add it into another BBM Blackberry device so i can see if this "thief" will add me?!
It could work?! I don't know if I expressed well myself and if you understood what I mean...

Let me know..

Yes. Each device's PIN is unique and it cannot be changed. If the person that now has your device has activated BIS service, then yes, you could add them.

You have expressed yourself just fine.
