We have Images for every user displayed in Outlook. We also have OCS/ Lync working on BB's fine but I am trying to figure out why the Enterprise Messenger Client doesnt display the image of the contact when loggged in on the BB. I have upgraded to Desktop client 2.6.15 as well.

I thought it would pick the imagine from the Exchange GAL or Lync or OCS Server and display that next to the contact itself but we just see the default grey image.

It seems its trying to see if the Contact is in your local contacts list and if it is, then displays the image associated with that client, but we just want it to read from the the Lync or OCS server and associate the contacts image.

Any ideas how I can acheive that ?

I found a workaround but its not ideal, you create the contact in your local contacts list and add the IM address before adding the contact into OCS, then it works but one cant be doing this for the whole GAL, so there must be a way because it reads the contacts fine, just need to figure out how it would read the GAL .... just cant work it out !

I don't think that works. Adding pictures to your personal Outlook contacts will:

- show them in Outlook (2007 + 2010)
- show them on your Blackberry

Adding pictures to the GAL (i.e. Active Directory) will:

- show them in Outlook (2010)
- NOT show them on the Blackberry

This is independent of OCS.
