This is kind of urgent so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Our BES is currently quite flakey (activations not working wirelessly calendar issues all over the shop) but we are trying to migrate from Exchange 5.5 to 2003. we have copied 6 users over who use blackberries and they are suffering from the memory leak that is caused by emsmdb32.dll.
All accounts suggest we need to upgrade the DLL's on teh BES which we havent done yet. We currently have Exchange administrator installed on the BES but not the ESM for 2003. If we were to install this and thus update our DLL's what will happen to the remaining 100 users on 5.5. Is it possible to run a mixed mode? and how do we go about this?
Unfortunately due to 5.5 being not in the best state we cant migrate all the users at once. Can anyone shed some light?
You can install ESM 2003 on the BES and have the BES users on the 5.5 box working fine. Just install ESM, check which cdo.dll file is registered and unregister it. Then register the new 6.5.xxxx.x cdo.dll fronm the exchsrvr/bin directory.
