Default Can't get the batter cover open

How the heck do I open the battery cover?
I can't get it off. I push in the button and push the cover. doesn't budge. I've even tried prying t off while pressing the button. I have the scratches from a credit card (makeshift prybar) to prove it.
argh!

Wirelessly posted (7250/4.1.0.268, Bell Mobility: BlackBerry7250/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/109)

A rock has worked well for me in the past ... Of course the performance of the BlackBerry itself did suffer somewhat thereafter ...

It can be tricky. You really have to make sure that you're pusing down on the button and it doesn't give very good feedback. I generally use egrips on just my battery door and it makes a big difference for removing the battery door, keeping the Blackberry in place when I set it down, and making it much easier to unholster*.

* I use the OEM plastic holster that comes with the Blackberry. Just ordered the OEM leather pouch and if I keep it, I'll remove the egrips as they make siliding the Blackberry in and out difficult.

Don't listen to him - that may damage the device. Soak it in a sink full of water instead. Overnight is best. That will soften it right up~!

The battery cover I can live with, it's removing the flippin SIM card that's a major pain.

Use a pencil with an eraser. The eraser will grip the SIM card and easily slide it out.

A paper clip, a stick of gum, and a watch battery.

I saw that on an episode of McGyver

Easy way to remove the sim card is with a small piece of tape.

I have used a paring knife on the SIM card before. Came out like a champ!
Of course, it didn't work after that, but then again, it didn't work as delivered either - the SIM card was installed UPSDIE DOWN by Cingular!!

(I do wish I was making this up)
