Please Login to Remove!

Just to let everyone who has the new iMACs that PocketMAC for the Blackberry has an updated software package to work with the new Intel iMAC. I downloaded it yesterday and it works like a charm!

The PocketMac support site was very useful in fixing the bugs I had... I just wish they would update their user manual with the information for the newer BBs.

Sorry, but I have to play devil's advocate here.

I think PocketMac stinks. The interface is crap. Every sync pops up multiple windows with the dock icon bouncing if you dare try to do something else while it's working. It won't just sync based on time stamp - you have to sit there and babysit the application, okaying every addition/subtraction. It won't sync both work and home addresses. Sometimes it will ask to remove contacts that haven't been removed (which is probably why they want you to babysit it).

PocketMac is without a doubt the worst application I am forced to install on my Mac. Easily the least Mac-like product I've ever used.

If you want to see what a real sync product looks like, check out The Missing Sync. http://www.markspace.com/ Sadly, they don't have a product for BlackBerry, but anyone who's ever used it knows what I mean. Slick, user-friendly interface. Seamless sync services. A plethora of options when it comes to customizing your sync. My wet dream is The Missing Sync for BlackBerry.

Sorry, guys. I know that without PocketMac we'd have no other option for syncing with our Macs. So I'll give them credit for filling a need. But the product feels like a beta, at best. I mean, just look at their website. The whole thing is a mess.

I completely agree on the The Missing Sync.....it's all we have right now as a sync tool for intel iMACs. I am hoping other companies will step up and develop better applications....I hope.

I liked the UI for Missing Sync w/ my sidekick, but I was NEVER able to get it working for me. Worked for almost everyone, but for some reason just never worked with my particular unit.

I agree on the missing sync also. I always use my Windows PC when it comes to my BlackBerry but everything else I'm a Mac kinda guy.

I agree that Pocket Mac leaves a TON to be desired compared to the missing sync. I'm loving my switch from a Treo 650 to an 8700g but I am no fan of pocket mac.
