I've been trying for days to get the alarm on my 8700G to work, but nothing seems to work.

I read the help which tells you wut to do, but still nothing.
I have all the settings set correctly, I have the "daily alarm" set to "yes", I have "active on weekends" = yes.
And I have the slect ringtone and set it on "high'.
If anyone can be of some assistance, your help will be gladly appreciated.

Try a hard reset-remove battery while unit is on-wait 30 sec. and re-install battery.

That didn't work either, the only thing it did was to render my web browser useless for 25mins. I had to keep hard-reseting for it to work.

On my 8700r, I noticed that the alarm didn't work either.

But, I got it working. Give this a try? (Maybe it's a bug.)

Set an alarm time (next few minutes)
Turn off blackberry (while alarm is set to active)
You will get a message that says something like next on date/time at xx.
See if the alarm goes off at that time.
The alarm goes off, and from then on, even if your bberry is on, the alarm will ring.

So basically, when I first tried to set the alarm without turning off the Bberry for the first time, it didn't work, until I actually turned off my machine.
