ultimate case of "blackberry thumb"!

was playing baseball (msbl) today and learned again the hard way why they tell you not to use your bare hand. for the first time since i've been a BB user i took a shot off my right thumb and now it's swollen and purple (remember, we're talking about my thumb). pretty difficult to use the trackwheel. i remember a few times when i had the 7105 holding it in my left hand and using my index finger on the trackwheel, but with the 8700, this thing's too wide (again, were talking about the BB) for that. now i know how you lefties feel!!

Bummer. I used to use my 7100t the same way with my index finger, I can see how trying that with the 8700g would be difficult.

I hope your thumb is better soon, first of all.
Secondly, I cut myself a few months ago on my thumb. I found it very difficult to use my BlackBerry as I usually do - perhaps with 5 other things in my hand at once.

Youch! Sorry about your thumb. I just got done paintballing today and got a paintball right in the thumb joint, it is pretty tender and swollen, but I refuse to let it come inbetween me and my bb ;)

i think we need to plan a trip to spa d'sante on huebner for some 'thumb therapy'.
(just kidding!)
mine's actually doing pretty good - sticking it in a cooler full of dos equis right after was the best move - and the x-ray was negative (no chip).
