Default Moving email into Folder in Lotus Notes does not delete on handheld

Please Login to Remove!

Hey there!
I have an 8700c running 4.1 software. I sync with Lotus Notes. I set the BB to "Mailbox Wins" when I reconcile wirelessly.
When I'm using Lotus Notes on my desktop and I file a note from my inbox to one of my folders, the note stays in the BB inbox and does not get removed. However, if I trash the note from my BB inbox, it will trash the note on my desktop.

Any way to clean up the BB inbox without screwing up my desktop inbox?

Any advice is appreciated.
Steve

Do you have your BlackBerry to Hide Filed Messages?

Default same problem but mine's a 7290

hello! (first post....)
anyways, one of our users is also having a problem similar to this.... at least i figured out the delete part: if it is set to "Delete On: Mailbox & Handheld" it will wipe the message both in Notes & BB, option should be "Handheld"..... my problem is that the user can receive & send messages but when he files messages to a personal folder (either from Notes or BB) the handheld doesnt follow.... wireless recon is on and even with manual usb synching, the BB still doesnt file messages, it just stays on the inbox.
we do have a 7290 in the office and it works..... i've checked the settings of the user's device and have set it exactly to the same one as mine.... any ideas? thanks in advance

Default Same Issue

I too am having the same issue with my new 8700c bb. Once a message is filed on the desktop/server Lotus Notes it is not reconciling and cleaning up the Inbox on the bb. I have sent and filed messages set to hidden.

Default Other Messages in Filed Folders

Other messages that are in the filed folders do not show up on the bb either after being reconciled. The folder structure is there the same as my Lotus Notes client but the actual messages are not.

Mine works fine. What settings do you have in email reconciliation?

We are experiencing the same problem.

Trying to explain it to RIM is hard work. They seem to think this is by design!!!
It appears that they have changed something on purpose and now everybody is complaining they are going to change it back in Release 4.2

We get this happenning on a random basis on different models, so I don't believe them, but what can you do !!!

I am pretty sure that explains it. BIS doesn't offer full reconcilliation like BES does. Now you see why I I don't like the BIS upgrade so much. If you had Message Service Desktop with a BES it would work fine I think.

My corporate Lotus Notes e-mail is coming from a Enterprise Server (BES). Are you saying you believe the issue would go away if I was only utilizing the corporate e-mail and the BES and removed the personal e-mail setup with BIS?

Default I have a similar problem reconciling messages

Hi All

I hope someone can help me. I have a problematic user who can never paint a true picture of their Lotus Notes Inbox on their Blackberry Handheld.

The problems are:
1. Some emails that are in the users Lotus Notes Inbox never appear on the handheld.
2. Some deletions from the Lotus Notes Client/Mail Inbox never reconcile to the BB device (Not all messages, this seems random)

We have tried everything we can think of to fix the problem such as upgrading the BES server 4.0.4.6, changed BB device (7290) 3 times and finally to a 8700g device for the same user. Same results no matter the device.

We have ran Fixup/Updall and Compact on the users mail file and state database.

We deleted the user from the BES server and created him again on another BES server in the group.

We changed the options on the BB device to hide filed messages and to delete from both Mailbox & BB Handheld.

But still I have this problem. I am not getting very far with the service provider and the problem has gone on for 2 months now. I am very desperate to have the problem solved soon, can any one help?

Technical info: BES = V4.0.4.6
BES Domino Server = 6.5.3
Main Domino Server = 6.5.3
Lotus Notes Client = 6.5.3
BB Handheld = 7290 or 8700g

Thanks John.

I've got exactly the same problem. I use both BIS and BES, and cannot get my BES mail to work the way I want. When I file email in Notes, they still show up in my inbox on my BB, if I delete them on my BB they are gone from Notes.

Smile I think I found it....

On the BB Handheld go into "Messages". Then go into "General Options". There is an option on my handheld that says "Hide Filed Messages".

Mine was set to "No". I flipped it to "Yes" and it worked as one would expect it to.

This was driving the users at my company crazy as well.

Make sure that in your Redirector setting that you have selected the Inbox or appropriate folders for syncing. I had one user who inadvertantly selected every sub forlder and it did not matter where he moved it, it always appeared... and for go reason.

Default Rsconcile now

Some of my users have been using the "reconcile now" option to resolve this. Doesn't work everytime, especially on folders.
