Default Keeps hanging up when removing from holster

Please Login to Remove!

Hi There,

Does anybody else have a problem with their 8700 whereby it tends to reject calls when you remove it from the holster?...

Its quite frustrating! About 1 in 3 times when somebody calls, i remove the BB from the holster and during removing it, it somehow manages to reject the call!?!?!?!?

Anyone have the same problem / any ideas how to correct?

Thanks

This may be a stupid question, but do you have the blackberry in the holster with the screen facing outward?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

More than likely its the method you are using to remove it from the holster.

The only real suggestion I have is either work on removal or junk the launcher holster or a better one

Hi There,

Nope, generally I have it facing inward. Why? would it make a difference?

Thanks

Hi,

I dont think its the method of removal because I am now very tentative when I remove it to try to ensure that I dont do anything to reject the call!!!...

Can you suggest a better holster?

Thanks

Yes it would. The stock holster and for that fact most BB holsters are designed for the BB to be holstered with the screen facing in.

Holsters and cases are genarally a matter of preference. If you like the stock holster you might look at the Siedo one. Many here LOVE it!

When I pull my 8700g out of the holster while it's ringing, it stops the ringtone but the call is still coming in. I hope you don't think that because the ringtone stops, that the call has also stopped?

Nope, it definatley rejects the call. I think it must be a problem with the holster?

Maybe set the BB to lock when holstered and see if that helps.

I agree with others here. It's the holster pressing the "End" key on your phone that is hanging up the call. Get an open face case seen at these sites

1) http://www.fortte.com/scr/showproduct.php/116?type=0 Open Face Case for BB 7100i.

2) http://www.eaccess-estore.com/store/...g.asp?item=323 Krusell Open Face Case for BB 7100i

I love this type of case for the simple fact that you never have to remove the phone from the case to use it. I have one on my 7105t and am soon ordering one for my 7100t. One thing about this case (and a function that I don't really need) is that it lacks the ability to put the phone to sleep and turn the screen off, resulting in battery drainage but I have 4 batteries to cycle out plus I keep my BB connected to my pc to charge so it's not an issue for me right now.

Note: They are the exact same case but sold by 2 different companies.

Thanks all. Will try the suggestions out, but it looks like a new case is the best option!
Cheers
