Reset your device or turn off wireless and turn it back on. Sometimes cell towers dont know where you are. Did you just recently travel from one area to another.

How long of a delay are you experiencing? Anyone else near you having the same delay? Same carrier? Etc.

Your able to send so I suspect battery and signal are good.

Is your blackberry enterprise server hosed up with 100's of people who never use their blackberry devices for months and an administrator that never disables accounts after 30 days of inactivity? If so go punch the admin and tell him to disable the accounts not in use because the BES is busy trying to process accounts that arent being used wasting server time possibly messing up the bes in the process.

Maybe your in a bad spot. Remember this is wireless technology so you cant expect it to work as if it was wired into the system. I give the analogy of having your cell phone on you to have it beep and say you missed a call and have a message when the phone was with you the entire time. Welcome to the wireless world of unreliable connectivity.

This has been talked about at GREAT length over the last week or so. A simple scan of the first page or two of any forum will yield many on topic threads..

and yes, I along with many others are having this problem, it's a RIM specific problem, having nothing to do with each carrier...

Here's the thread. Its not carrier specific.

http://blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=36893

My guess, after talking to RIM tech support over the past week, is the BIS 2.0 is having problems either getting the emails placed in the Inbox or there's an internal routing problem between the incoming SMTP servers and the BIS.

Well we all may not have that luxury. RIM is forcing all carriers towards BIS 2.0 so they need to fix this problem. Never had it under BIS 1.8 on Verizon.
