does anyone have any idea how i go about getting the WAP setting for the web browser and email settings. The handset was a 02 which has been unlocked and I am using a organge sim card in it. But orange say that their card will work fine in the handset but they do not hold the configuration settings for this model and i have to get the straight from blackberry but I cant find them online anywhere or even find a number to call blackerry to get the setting sent to the phone. I would be very grateful of any help Thanks irene

FIRST PROBLEM: conversion
There may be a problem with making a O2 phone a Orange! Not sure it can be done. This info would be held by blackberry if possible. Sorry, but i highly doubt they would be permitted to give it to anyone! I'm sure there contract with O2 and Orange forbids it.

SECOND PROBLEM:new config info
I doubt that RIM/Blackberry will give you the Orange config if phone can be converted. I belive you were given incorrect info, and Orange has the config info you need. Probibly you will need to contact Orange high level support. Retail stores and normal tech support will not have this info. The next question is if you can get to high level (level 3 or 4) support are they permited to give it to you?

You may need to talk to someone at corperate level or support management at Orange and O2 to get permision/access to this info.

Not able to do the configuration settings.

Just a small question:
Anyone has used Blackberry handset and downloaded J2ME games from Intranet ? This needs WAP settings which i am not able to do till now even with AIRTEL tech support team

With futher consideration your situation it may not be as bad as i first thought.

I may have read into your question to deeply at first.

The first obsticle may not be an issue, IF!

The second issue is not as bad if both phone companies sold same series of BB ex.(7100t v.7100g, 7130t v. 7130g or whatever) if they do then you will need the following info: new carriers PIN,IMEI,HRT settings/config info.

If they sold different series ex. (7100t V. 7130g) only, then you may be out of luck.

I belive with the PIN,IMEI,HRT info from new carrier and phone registered with new carrier with this info will work. I'm almost positive that it will.
This info if they ever carried a like series BB is avalable from them. If they say they dont then that support tech is wrong and you may need to talk to someone else and be persistant
