Default moving items to offline outlook files ?

Please Login to Remove!

Hello-
I have a problem in that when I move folders from outlook to offline folders (on my laptop) they still show on my BB. I have my setting to hide filed messages. Is there something else I can do? (BTW, I have a 7100t)
Thanks!!

Are you synchronizing to an offline folder or moving the messages into a personal folder (PST file). I have had limited success in moving items to a personal folder using the desktop manager; I do not know what the implications of this are. I am not sure if this could create some space issues on the blackberry. It did remove the items from my inbox and placed them into the "personal folder", but I personally do not think itxxx8217;s worth it and I don't recommend it to my users. This can not be done wirelessly. - Adrian

Hi Adrian- thanks for your reply!
I am moving messages into a personal folder (PST file). (I don't use the BB desktop manager at all)
I just want the files not to show up on my BB inbox once I move them, otherwise I am contantly having to manually delete them one by one on my BB. I thought that setting it to hide filed messages would do the trick.
I'm confused. :(

If you move messages from your Outlook account to any personal or archive folders, the Blackberry can't see them when it tries to sync. Therefore it just does nothing with the messages.

thanks juwaack68- that makes sense. I guess I was just hoping there was a "secret setting" I was unaware of.
