Unhappy Blackberry folder question

Please Login to Remove!

I am new to this board and need some help. My boss is using the Cingular 8700C Blackberry and was told by Cingular that she could easily sync her email folders--in other words if she deleted email on her Blackberry that mail would be deleted in Outlook on her server for the computer as well. She does not use a Blackberry Enterprise Server because she has a small 2-man company. Can anyone shed any light on how this and if this problem can be fixed or is even possible? Thank you very much!

It is not possible without BES. There is some reconciliation available by using the BIS 2.0 and Yahoo but it does not reconcile with Outlook. Look into the Gmail setup talked about on this forum and your boss can get instant e-mail but still no reconciliation.

I wish....

Full synchronization will only occur with teh Enterprise Server functionality. It sounds like she is using BlackBerry Internet Service, which does allow some form of synchronization (email that is read on your BB, is shown as being read on your email stored on your server). Once a person has downloaded their email (normally through POP), the synchronization is gone (at least, remote wirelessly).

I'm sure there are others far more expert in this area who may also respond, but as a BB user for just over a month now, I haven't found anything that suggests differently from what I wrote.
