We've finally gotten buyin that passwords on the BBs are a good thing. Now we have to come up with a list of forbidden ones. Has anyone compiled a list they're willing to share? I just hate the thought of typing 1234, 2345, 3456, and abcd, bcde, etc.

Try entering 1234 or abcd on your BlackBerry as the password. It won't let you do it. I think there is a built in list of forbidden passwords. I don't know what the list is, but its there.

The issue with 1234 or abcd (or asdf, if memory serves) is that they are sequences of numbers/letters (in a row), and as such not allowed.

BBQueen - why would you need a list - the users will get a message if they try to use an 'illegal' password...

He wants a list because he doesn't want to type them out in the policy himself.
