Default How to remove BES software from 7510

Please Login to Remove!

Hopefully someone can help me. I brought 10 refurished blackberry 7510. 4 of them have a password protection, I know the password to them, but i wanna disable the password option. I dont want password protection option on these blackberry phones. I called nextel and they told me that It has BES IP policy on it. They said they couldnt help me and the only way to remove that was to contact the BES admin and have him do it. Only prolblem is I dont know the who the admin is. I was hoping someone Knows how to get around this and maybe remove this BES software for me. Any help would be greatful. I can be reached at [email address]. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to BB Forums.
Using the "search" function found at the top of the screen, with the parameters "remove IT Policy" I found this thread:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ckberries.html

It should work for you.

Welcome and good luck.

Default having troule with nextel 7510

I am trying to do this with a 7510, but when i tried I ended up with a crossed out window icon on the screen. now i dont think the blackberry is working at all. Also i didnt find that software for this blackberry so i couldnt wipe it clean and that might have been a problem. any suggestions.

Download the handheld software from the Nextel web site - you need that in addition to the Desktop Software.

Execute the download software to install it to your PC.

Start Desktop Manager and it should try to load the OS to the handheld.

There are some very good Sticky Thread FAQs on reloading the handheld OS here.

Just a hunch but when you run/install the blackberry desktop software during install it asks you to choose how you receive email via BES or BIS (redirector).
That might help.
