Default So I go to plug in my Bang & Olufsen headphones…

And the plug does not fit… WTF!!! I guess they could not make a 1/8” jack fit in the thin profile. Does Radio Shack sell an adaptor?

The jack on the 8100 is made for a hands-free headset, not headphones.

Kind of strange though they push it as a music player all through the manual etc, and you can't use headphones. They have a picture of a person with headphones on "dancing" etc.

I just use my ipod but that seems very bait & switch to me.

SOP for phones... With the exception of Nokia, which has a proprietary headset, most use the same the same headset jack. Not bait and switch at all. Caveat emptor.

I prefer the seperated devices personally. I only bought the 8100 for the size.

Anyway, you can plug in headphones I think, but you'd need an adapter to the 2.5mm jack.

I'm sure the sound quality and volume will not be up to par with my ipod,, but it would be nice to at least try it out...

they tout the stereo headphone capability. I was surprised they didn't include the headset in the box. my son's samsung came with a stereo headset that I think he could use as a hands free too. too bad its got a funky plug or I'd "borrow" it.

Phone companies need to relaize most people use BT headsets and they should make all jacks standard 1/8 stereo.
