Default New Upgraded Browser Someday?

Please Login to Remove!

What are the odds tht RIM/Tmobile will give us a new upgraded browser someday? Bookmarks=Crap! Cant create a new folder~Only sub-folders! It is not a real web browser like IE Mobile. Half of the sites visited are non-recognizable or cant view. No ability for Macromedia Flash. The only thing I see that is different from years past is the ability to start at a designated Homepage. This is below subpar at best. This is a crappy Wap browser not real internet browsing. Sorry for the venting but frustrated with going to sites and not making heads or tales of what I am viewing!!!!?

Interesting...I find the blackberry browser to be way better than pocket ie..it loads faster than my wife's treo 700w browser that uses evdo...and they are the same pages. You can change the bberry browser to ie emulation..

Not neccesarily disappointed with the speed now that we are using EDGE. It is the lack of funtionality and the ability to view websites as they are intended. Not xhtml but full html. I would not mind with the ability of the rollerball to scroll left to right and see a page as it was intended or to decrease size. Correct me if I am wrong but this browser does not seem a bit different than the days of the 7230/7100 days. Does not make sense.

Default How is the Opera Mini different?

Than what we are already running? Want to make sure that is worth spending the money?

The Blackberry browser is the pits. I have the Treo 700wx and the Pearl. What a difference. The BB browser can't render the same pages as good. It works, just seems to not work very well. It's my only complaint of Blackberry's. Other then that, love them.

I've been thinking lately that the browser on the 8100 is a step up from the browser on the 7100t. seems to view pages better. on the 7100 i really liked opera mini but now I'm preferring the BB browser.
just my .02

Default Someone needs to step up.........

If the marketing is going to state *Real web browsing* than someone needs to step up and give us "real web browsing." We have had the same mumbo jumbo crappy web browser for several years now! Like a previous poster, the Pearl is great minus some software glitches but the browser is ARCHAIC!

Have you noticed the screen size on this phone? You acually expected "real" web browsing from the 8100? Its as real as it can be for a 2" screen... geez. Go buy an MDA...

What mini opera browser should you download with the 8100? I know some people use it, but they don't have the 8100 on the list.

I dloaded the low memory version of opera, but it runs poorly. It just takes too long to start processing..once it is going it is fine, but the intial latency is several seconds.

I would be happier if I could have an option to get HTML emails to show up correctly vs. plain text with all the tags.

Can't get a browser from reqwirelss but did find the old download from my 7730. I never used it but tried to get in onto the 8100 with no luck.

The applicatoin loader only recognized .alx and .ali

The file i tried to load was a .cod

I don'y know a whole lot about this stuff. Is the .cod an outdated file?
